My digital life

 I remember I was thirteen, my father bought a computer for me and my brother because he was a form one student in secondary school who needs it for education. This is the first times I touch computer. However, I have no idea for use it, even double click the mouse for open folders or applications. A few weeks later, I went to the free computer lesson to learn how to use Windows 95 with my mother. After the lesson, I learned the basic knowledge for use computer, especially playing the game.

No longer years ago, my friend upgraded his computer and he gave the old RAM and hard disk to me for upgrade my computer. This is the first time to change my life because I learned the knowledge for change the computer parts of configuration. After few years ago, I also got a good grade of computer course from secondary school. Therefore, I got a lot of interest of computer so I studied the higher diploma of computer studies when I got the bad result of HKCEE.

Since the study of computer studies, I got more close to the digital world even the programming of the windows basic programs or web basic system, I have already known how to develop and operate them. Therefore, I have got a lot of knowledge of computer but not only for gaming or chatting in the digital world.

After the higher diploma study, I came to City University of Hong Kong for study BBA Information System, this is the stage of matchup my IT knowledge and business world. During the current study, online recourses are becoming more common in the world, moreover, it is a course I am studying in this semester which also related to the online media for writing - “EN4166 Writing for New Media”.

Come back to now, I would like to connect to Internet for watch the news video in Apply Daily every day. For the entertainment, MSN, Facebook and YouTube are my favorite application and website. I use Yahoo! Mail for my major email account because I don’t like to make confuse to my friends by using several email address. However, I also have Gmail account for other usage, such as for link up my phone contact and Facebook contact information, for use Google+ and for this Blog.

In studying EN4166 Writing for New Media, I would like to know and learn more about new media on Internet for us to share the information because we are the new generation.
