How to import javascript in Google Site
*** Newest Update ***
A Bad News for the Gadgets method is no longer available at 14 November 2011, I don’t what’s happen. I guess the compatible issue comes from some update of Google or Gamestar Mechanic. The only thing I can go is suggest you to use an image with hyperlink for showing the game.

I found that Google Site does not support javascript which means you cannot directly add you Gamestar Mechanic’s hyperlink to Google Site even using <iframe> tag. If you use <iframe> tag, it only can be showed on Firefox but not IE. I found a method for you to achieve this work!
Step 1. Go to Gamestar Mechanic get your game embed

Step 2. Open a “Notpad” from your windows

Step 5. Click File > Save > Change the save type to ‘All File’ > name it ‘game1.xml’ then you will see a xml file will created.
Step 6. Back to your Google Site (I suppose you have login) > Click ‘More’ button > Manage Site > Attachments > Upload > upload your 'game1.xml'
Step 7. Try your link whether work or not

Final Reflection of Blogging
I am honored to join this class. This is the first time for me to write a blog and share my opinions to the classmates. It is totally different from the social communication websites as Fackbook. Blogging included the knowledge and opinions but Fackbook just included the feeling of us.
Research
Before start a new post, I will find some related information from the Internet or pay more attention to the news or things around me which are related to my topic of the new post. It is research, for ensure my information is correct and have multiple relative with other people. For example, I comment on Jonathan’s post about the Youtube competition with other similar competition hyperlink from Youtube since Jonathan published the post.

Moreover, Blogging also train up my critical thinking in facing the information from other publishers, such as Edith’s and Jonathan’s posts. Critical issues in writing for new media
In my previous post, I have told Web 2.0 is the good platform in sharing the knowledge. For this post, I would like to talk some about the critical issues in writing for new media. Internet is the place which has real and false because it is available for all kinds of people. Quality and credibility are the most important things I really concern.
Objectives of the posted information are difference for the publishers. The positive users post the information for experience, knowledge, emotion sharing or asking questions. However, everything have negative even in the virtual world.
Quality problem
I have read a blog from Mr. Shang Yi which content was talking about the online forum culture. He mentioned people have hypocritical behaviors because of the forum features. A motivation system is used in many forums for encourage the users to create new posts or follow the posts. Most of the posts are meaningless, which is a single word, an emotion icon or fake news, only for request the higher permissions. In my experience, this culture is only in the Asia forum but not in the Western. The replies of Western forums are at least one complete statement but not just ‘推’ (sound ‘Tui’in Chinese) in the Asia’s forums. The better polite reply of them also included the appellation of others. I think the bad culture can be improved by educations. Therefore, the social or computer courses should add some related topic to teach the good behaviors.
Credibility problem
Some people may think that social communication websites as Facebook are the tools. They use these tools for writing the fake stories or some touching statements to request sympathy from others, even kids or adults. Sometimes they will belittle others to make themselves look important. For this type of content, I totally believe that we need to have the critical thinking to identify the credibility. Although the contents may not be true, I also understand humans need to vent their emotions. Therefore, I don’t think they are totally unacceptable. However, be a smart Internet user when facing the similar information, I think we don’t need to ‘support’, ‘like’ or ‘+’ them. The thing we can do is to suggest them to get helps from the experts because they are the persons who can solve the problems for them but not your ‘support’.

Innovations in Writing for New Media
Writing is a process from humans to tell others what they know and what they want you to know. In traditional writing, there are lot of limitations of the information, writers and readers. However, new methods in writing have great innovations for us to remove these limitations.
Multimodal & Efficiency
First, peoples only use texts to represent the words without any photos or images in explanation. Moreover, all of the words are linear and sequential. Peoples always need to jot down the unknown terms and find the definition after read the whole chapter. This is the inefficiency ways in reading we did it before.
Nowadays, we are going to give up the old methods and change to use others. For describe our messages, we can also use image, sound or video to make them easy for understanding but not just text only. Moreover, hypertext is the new method in our writings. We use hypertext to refer the explanations from other writers directly. Therefore, the readers are no longer to read the whole chapter again before finding the detail information of the words. These methods make the information to become a huge dynamic library on the Internet which likes Wikipedia.
Higher Range of Information Sharing & Knowledge Accuracy
Second, in the last generation, only a small group of peoples can publish the writings which of them were working for news, famous persons or the peoples in high-level positions. Some of their words are bullshit or not realistic.
Luckily, for this generation we have a lot of new technology to growth up our wisdom. Web 2.0 as Forum, Blogs, Facebook and Twitter is the new platforms for all of us to become the writers and no longer the small groups again. We can share everything, such as data, knowledge and experience. We put our heads together and come up with something more effective and accuracy.
Why Writing for New Media is so important?
Writing for new media is extremely important for us because I totally believe that time is money and knowledge is power. If everyone doesn’t share knowledge, the knowledge is limited. However, what if everyone can share a bit of knowledge, this knowledge will become stronger, useful and unlimited. That’s why the business organizations request the staffs group up a team because they also believe one plus one may more than two. For example, I am the only one with experience of web programming in my team of other course. The course requests us to develop a website for e-commerce with a lot of functions. However, the web server of the department is not available for publish dynamic web-page as asp or jsp which can show different content of the same page. However, we found an experience sharing post on the Internet and it let us to realize an impossible mission in the short time and it let our page not become the fake page like others with just using the photos to present the functions.
The point I want to emphasize is the information of people shared on the Internet may not be useful in the real time but they may become a medicine for the late knowledge seekers. Therefore, if we are keeping sharing our knowledge, it will be a big impact to the next generation to have better than the best wisdom. Moreover, the fastest the time for seeking knowledge, resource on Internet is the best way for us.

My digital life
I remember I was thirteen, my father bought a computer for me and my brother because he was a form one student in secondary school who needs it for education. This is the first times I touch computer. However, I have no idea for use it, even double click the mouse for open folders or applications. A few weeks later, I went to the free computer lesson to learn how to use Windows 95 with my mother. After the lesson, I learned the basic knowledge for use computer, especially playing the game.
No longer years ago, my friend upgraded his computer and he gave the old RAM and hard disk to me for upgrade my computer. This is the first time to change my life because I learned the knowledge for change the computer parts of configuration. After few years ago, I also got a good grade of computer course from secondary school. Therefore, I got a lot of interest of computer so I studied the higher diploma of computer studies when I got the bad result of HKCEE.
Since the study of computer studies, I got more close to the digital world even the programming of the windows basic programs or web basic system, I have already known how to develop and operate them. Therefore, I have got a lot of knowledge of computer but not only for gaming or chatting in the digital world.
After the higher diploma study, I came to City University of Hong Kong for study BBA Information System, this is the stage of matchup my IT knowledge and business world. During the current study, online recourses are becoming more common in the world, moreover, it is a course I am studying in this semester which also related to the online media for writing - “EN4166 Writing for New Media”.

I use Yahoo! Mail for my major email account because I don’t like to make confuse to my friends by using several email address. However, I also have Gmail account for other usage, such as for link up my phone contact and Facebook contact information, for use Google+ and for this Blog.
In studying EN4166 Writing for New Media, I would like to know and learn more about new media on Internet for us to share the information because we are the new generation.
